Studio latitude - Melissa Voderberg

Melissa Voderberg came to our class to talk to her about her experiences as a graphic designer and a business owner.

She wonted to make some Australian momentous for  tourist to buy and take home with them, she said that alot of the touristy novelty items were mostly not Australian made of had much to do with Australia.
She came up with a fan idea that was designed off an Australian flower, this fan took off and she was asked to create more designs for these fans.

Melissa also encouraged us to use these exhibitions if we ever go into the field of creating products and wonting to find clients, she told us that most retail places only by new products from these places and if you go to the clients out side of these you wouldn't really have a chance to sell yourself.

She also talked about how the financial downturn affected her business, example she signed a contract to take back any stock and pay back for the sales if the product doesnt sell, this happnd and she was put in finacial place because of t.

i enjoyed the info Melissa had to bring us.
